Dress Code

ABASI Dress Code & Attire for
Dance Classes and Musical Theater

In order to maintain a safe and professional environment we require all dancers to follow ABASI Dance Lab’s uniform policy. We believe our uniform policy is not at all strict, and will assist in creating a more professional class for our dancers, as well as assist our teachers with seeing your student’s alignment and form.

For all dance classes, students must be dressed in black fitted dance wear or active wear. Only ABASI Dance Lab logos are acceptable.

Required Shoes: All of our required shoes are available for purchase in ABASI’s front lobby boutique. To schedule a shoe fitting, reach out to us at 813-850-0011 or info@abasidancelab.com. All of your shoes must be purchased through ABASI to ensure uniformity. We will have one of our staff members assist you in getting all of your dance shoe needs covered!

Examples of Appropriate Attire:

We do not require leotards and tights, just that your students are in appropriate black active wear.

Dance wear and active wear is to be laundered frequently and in good repair. We encourage labeling your students items and help them keep track of their belongings. Undergarments are not to be visible.

No jewelry of any kind is allowed, with the exception of small post earrings. Dance shoes may not be worn outside. Street shoes may never be worn on the dance floor.

Hair is to be pulled back and out of the face (such as a pony tail or bun) are required for all dance classes. Short hair must be pulled back away from the face by using a headband or hair clips & bobby pins. We are flexible on the style of hair (i.e.: French braid, pigtails), as long as the hair is pulled back and out of the face.
