We wanted to take a moment to shout out how incredibly proud we are of Abi and her recent accomplishment!

Abi began dancing with us in 2020 with the goal to hone her technique for musical theater. Abi took private ballet lessons, group classes in jazz and lyrical, and musical theater intensives.

We are so excited to share that Abi has been cast as Matilda in a local musical theater production of “Matilda”!

We are so incredibly proud of this book loving kind and hard working little lady on her first lead role!

Congratulations and keep working hard and shining bright! Your ABASI fam is so proud of you! 💛

Wishing a very special happy 4 year teaching anniversary to Miss Shelley! Miss Shelley started teaching with ABASI on this day 4 years ago before we even had our brick and mortar studio!

We are so incredibly lucky to have miss Shelley on our team and so grateful for all she does for not just our ballet dancers, but our studio as a whole! Miss Shelley is also one of our artistic directors with Dr. Quinn and plans our recitals, shows, camps, and is our staff teacher trainer as well.

We love you Miss Shelley!!

Now enrolling for our preteen / teen commercial dance intensive with Miss Jordan next week!

Your dancer will condition and work all styles of commercial dance including hip hop, contemporary, musical theater/ heels, and more !

Monday through Friday 10 am- 3 pm beginning June 20th!

9:45 am: Mini Jazz/ Hip Hop ages 4-6
10:30: Ballet/ Tap combo ages 4-6

Vashti is back teaching with us for the summer! Vashti instructed with us from when we had ballet classes at Kinetic Soul since 2018 before she joined the St. Petersburg ballet company. Now is the time to book your privates and get conditioned for the fall semester. Vashti can also work on ballet technique and ballet choreography for musical theater pre screens!

Get to know Vashti below:

Vashti Walters began her dance training at the age of 13 at a recreation center in Richardson, Texas. A few months later, she began training seriously at Tuzer Ballet with Tanju and Pat Tuzer, former dancers of the Harkness Ballet, where she received many opportunities, including performing in the Nutcracker and in a Turkish folk-dancing group called Rakkas Dance led by Onur Kasaburi.
In 2016, she moved to Florida and joined Tampa Ballet Theatre as a trainee. She spent the 2017-2018 season as an apprentice and was promoted to the company in 2018. She enjoyed performing soloist roles in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. In 2020 she moved to St. Petersburg where she performed as a guest artist for local productions.
She is currently dancing with Tampa City Ballet and teaching throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Tonight’s summer lineup includes two wonderful teen and adult classes with Miss Shelley!

Classical variations and pointe at 7:30 pm as well as intermediate- advanced ballet at 8:30 pm.
