Mallory Quinn holds a doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida (2017) and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2014. She has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for 18 years, and worked as an instructor at the University of South Florida for multiple ABA courses during her time in the graduate program. Her company ABA Sports Innovations, uses the science of ABA to more effectively train athletes, and also teaches and certifies other sports coaches and behavior analysts across the country to use her trademarked method: The POINTE Program (TM). Her research with competitive dancers and for teaching dancers with special needs, has been published in multiple scientific research journals.
Additionally, she is the owner of ABASI Dance Lab (est. 2020) and the popular fitness studio Kinetic Soul Studio (est. 2018). Kinetic Soul Studio is a fitness studio with group fitness classes in barre and yoga. ABASI Dance Lab provides specialized private lessons using ABA to competition dancers to enhance their technique, and also dance lessons, which include ABA therapy for dancers with special needs. ABASI Dance Lab is the first branch of ABA Sports Innovations, and the first site in the United States to provide these unique services.
Dr. Mallory Quinn has owned ABA Sports Innovations since 2016 and her brick and mortar locations since 2018. As a business owner since she was 26 years old, Mallory lives and breathes her businesses. Prior to owning her own studio, she worked for many years as a well-respected dance teacher and choreographer in Tampa and Dunedin, as well as a fitness instructor at Pure Barre, having taught over 1,000 classes in this barre technique. Dr. Mallory currently provides business coaching to behavior analyst across the country working in the areas of health, sports and fitness. Mallory is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In barre, Mallory is certified in Pure Barre, American Barre Technique and Barre Bounce teaching methods. As a yoga instructor, she holds a 500 hour registered yoga teacher certification through yoga alliance, a kids yoga certification through Kidding Around Yoga International, and is 65 hour Pre and Postnatal certified through Bliss Baby Yoga. As a ballet instructor, Mallory holds a certification in the Progressing Ballet Technique method which provides muscle memory training for classical ballet. In addition, she is a certified acrobatics teacher through Acrobatic Arts.
Mallory grew up dancing and performing since the age of 3 locally in Tampa with her niche as a musical theater performer. She attended Blake High School for the Performing Arts as a Musical Theater Major, performed locally all throughout college, and now acts as a judge for multiple local Thespian and Dance competitions for local performers.
Mallory is passionate about providing a niche non competition performing arts training center which provides individualized and effective training for the serious dancers and musical theater performers looking to become professional and employable with an emphasis on positive mental health. Mallory loves combining the science of ABA with dance to ensure effective training which is based on NON coercive methods and safe training to enhance longevity of performer’s careers. Mallory and her studio are known locally for professionalism of training, individualized instruction, and unique training based on scientific methods and the best contemporary modalities available. Mallory is known for taking a personal interest in each of the performers at her studio and creating a safe and effective environment for them to reach their highest potential.
In Mallory’s free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach or doing anything relaxing outdoors, and spending time with her hairless cat Baldwin and mini poodle Gwendolyn! Her favorite quote is “dreams don’t work unless you do.”
